Definitely

“Definitely” is a B1 level adverb that students should be very comfortable using in all parts of the exam as it is very flexible and can be used when talking about a variety of different topics. It means without any doubt and can easily be used with verbs or adjectives. Candidates will definitely have opportunity to use this adverb in either the writing or speaking paper.

Writing Part 2:

…You should definitely check out some of the museums in London while you are there. They are some of the best in the world…

Speaking Part 1:

Examiner: “What’s your favourite thing to do during the weekend?”

Candidate: “I would definitely say hiking in the mountains with friends or family is my favourite thing to do during the weekend…”
