B2 First Vocabulary:

Extremely

“Extremely” is an adverb used with adjectives meaning “very” or much more than usual. Although it is a B1 level adverb, candidates could be tested on this in the reading and use of English paper, and they should also be comfortable using it in the speaking and writing papers where appropriate rather than using “very” all the time.

Below are examples of how 'Extremely' could be used in the B2 First (FCE) exam.
Reading and Use of English Part 3:

Although it was an (3)…… difficult test, I managed to pass it!

3. EXTREME  –

Speaking Part 1:

Examiner: “Do you think exercising regularly is important?”

Candidate: “Yes, I think it’s extremely important for everyone to exercise on a regular basis…”
