Tradition
“Tradition” is a B2 level noun that candidates should know for their B2 First exam. It is a custom or way of behaving that has continued for a long time in a group of people, like a family or group of friends, or a society.
Below are examples of how 'Tradition' could be used in the B2 First (FCE) exam.
Speaking Part 1:
Examiner: “Do you spend a lot of time with your family?”
Candidate: “Not too much nowadays, but we do get together every summer for a big family barbecue, which has been a tradition in our family for many years…”
