More About Listening Part 1

Part 1 is worth 27% of the total score of the listening paper consists of eight multiple choice questions where you have to choose the correct answer. Each question will have its own recording (about 30 seconds long) which you will need to listen to in order to answer the question. The recordings for each question are unrelated. Each question will also have a short sentence explaining the context of the recording you will hear.

The main focus of this part of the exam is to test your ability to understand the topic, gist, function, detail, purpose or the recording along with the speaker’s opinion and feelings.
