Reading and Use of English Part 6

Part 6 is worth 17% of the total score for the reading and use of English paper and consists of a piece of text where six sentences have been removed and placed in a random order below the text as well as an extra sentence which does not go in any of the gaps. You have to decide which sentence belongs in which gap by understanding the meaning and structure of the text. Candidates should quickly read through the text first to get an overall idea of the structure of the text and what it is about, before starting to do the task.
The main focus of this part of the exam is understanding how the text is structured in addition to the use of reference words and linking phrases.
